All about Mr. B!
Well, I hate to say it, but my BABY is almost SEVEN!!! Seven!! Can you believe that??? I remember being seven.. how can I have a seven year old???
Brodie is doing fabulous. He is loving his new school, even making marks above average and reading at a 3rd grade level.. or higher, we aren't sure. His teacher only tested him so far and then called it quits. lOl She said he probably could have kept going. We are so proud.
He has made a bunch of new friends since moving here to California. It's almost like he didn't even miss a beat these days. ... like this is where he has always been. I am very grateful for that.
He is getting HUGE! He comes up to my shoulders. How is that fair? My baby is going to be bigger than me VERY soon. He thinks it's the coolest thing since sliced bread. ;0)
He is very into skateboarding.. this started a while back.. before we left FL. But now that we are in CA, where everyone skates, he is allllll about it. He wants ramps and all sorts of stuff. He told me that when he grows up, he wants to either be a photographer for skateboarders (woohoo!!!!!) or a videographer for skaters. How cool!! My kid is awesome. :0) I love it.
His new favorite accessory is a fedora. lOl He looks so cool in it. He wears it all the time (not at school, I really don't want it to get lost) But if he is at home, that thing is on his head. Like right now, for example, he is wearing his pj's and that fedora. He is such an artist.. makes me laugh. His ideas are so wild and out there.. I am glad his imagination isn't lacking. He is just beyond creative and full of wonderful ideas.

Mason

This is a blog all about Mason :0)
He is finally growing!! He is 16 months old, still wears size 12 month clothes, but he also fits into some 18 month clothes!!! Yehy :0) It's about time.
He has a few words, though he is not a performer.. so it is very rare you can get anything out of him. His words:

done (clear as a bell!)

He can point out most of his body parts, bark like a dog, give High 5's and he is the best hide and seek partner you could ask for. Meaning, he gives himself up by yelling BOOOOO from wherever he is. lOl
Like I said though, he is NOT a performer. So if you ask him to say something, he won't. He will either laugh and walk away, or say 'NO' and walk away. He is just so stubborn.
He and Brodie play pretty well together these days. Brodie will let Mason 'scare' him and they both end up on the floor laughing hysterically. The house is never quiet anymore.. unless they are both sleeping. :0)
Mase is a fabulous eater.. he absolutely adores spicy foods. The spicier the better.. and he doesn't even reach for his cup to dowse the flame. hahaha He is very 'passionate' about his food. If he is hungry, he will let you know. But don't give him bland food, it has to have some sort of kick to it, or he will push it aside. How funny! He makes us laugh all the time. We are having a great time with him.

I am so not good with "Goodbye". Chris had to head back to AZ tonight.. so I am off to clean the kitchen.

Cannery

Our friend, Chris is in town visiting for a few days, so we took him to Cannery Row and had lunch, wandered for a few and then had to come back for Rob to do homework. Booo! lOl
Here are few photos from today. It was actually kind of warm, 68... with some sun. Now we are cold, cloudy and getting ready for more rain.

Still Unpacking

We are still unpacking, we have so much left to organize and put away. It makes it hard to get things done when most of your stuff is either broken, missing or shoved into a box that you least expect. *sigh*
Without a doubt, this has been the worst move we have ever had. Hands down. Heartbreaking at times.
We are getting ready file our formal complaint against the moving company that packed us in FL, so that maybe, none of our other friends will ever have to deal with them the way we have. I would just feel crushed if someone I knew had to deal with them.
Other than that, life is going. Everyone is getting better from being sick. Brodie is doing GOBS better in class and with his homework. His attitude has improved a thousand fold. I am so happy that my family seems to be getting back to -normal-. lOl
Today is Rob's first day of actual Spanish class. I can't wait for him to get home so that I can hear how it went. They only get a few weeks where they are able to speak both English and Spanish in class.. and from there, it is 100% Spanish. Brodie wants Rob to teach him some Spanish too. :0)

Not so much

Today wasn't filled with much of anything special.
We finally went over to the dump with TWO truck loads of broken and trashed items from the move. We also went over to recyle a bunch of the boxes and paper.
Took Rob's bike over to the shop for new tires.
Played with the boys and the rain came back. Uhg. I think we get about 3 days of sun and then 5 days of rain. Which I guess is good for here, they need the rain for the dry summers.
Tonight Brodie and Rob sat around and played Lego Indian Jones on the 360 while I folded laundry.
I told we didn't do much. lOl But I did promise at least a picture a day.
So here is Mr. Brodie playing Indy.

Daily Life

Just a way for me to stay in touch with everyone since I don't get around to Facebook and MySpace very often.
